Stressful Living #christianscience #christian

Have you ever had a morning where you wake up but just cant find peace to find yourself?

Its like life has ran ahead of you, suddenly its time to leave and the Bible Lesson is  ultimately the last thing on your mind. If it even made it to that point.

Well, its good to remember that time is a man made construct. God doesnt see it because he is “from everlasting to everlasting” he cannot be boxed in, to a man made time system. Knowing He hasnt changed at the moment of our stress can help a lot. Its not that He is waiting for you to give him a minute, its more about realising that in every moment he is there, for your very existence is in him. Just as he exists in a timeless spiritual existence, so do we.

The story of Lazarus is another example of “time” in John 11, 1-44. Jesus tells his friends about the sickness of Lazarus:

“this sickness will not end in death”

Finally, he dies,  four days pass before Jesus raises him up.Not by accepting he died four days earlier but by accepting there was no “moment” Lazarus passed and that death itself is just as man made as time:Time honoured systems which we are taught to accept. Jesus had already said “this sickness will not end in death” because it couldn’t end that way, yet that isnt how people saw it. The stress his family must have gone through looking at every physical moment as he was losing life finally giving up hope that Jesus would ever come, no doubt distrusting he could help especially after four days.

When I was younger I used to think that Spiritually was something you practiced when you had “time” to sit and close your eyes for a while or forcing myself to make time to “do” the Bible Lesson or somehow imagine what life is or should be like. Now I realise its a way of life, not a way of grabbing moments in a busy day.
The Bible from the book of James says:

2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Have a great “day”
